OK, everyone, here’s your chance to weigh in on how Glacier Park plans to handle tourist season congestion, especially at the North Fork, Many Glacier and Two Medicine entrances and within the Going-to-the-Sun Road corridor.
Here are the essentials:
They are taking public comments until January 6, 2025.
The public can visit the project website to submit input. This site also provides a summary of key issues, project goals, the history of visitation, transportation and vehicle reservations in the park, and the initial ideas for the park’s long-term plan. Perhaps more useful than the official project website is the really nice overview of the project at the “Visitor Use Management Strategy” web page.
The park will be holding several public meetings concerning the plan.

There are also four in-person gatherings. The one closest to the North Fork is on December 4, 2024, from 4 to 6 pm at the Cedar Creek Lodge in Columbia Falls.
